MasterPlay
Automation Station
MasterPlay is designed for cable and
broadcast TV operations. It supports both
event-driven (DTMF) and time-of-day scheduling
and playback. Powerful On Screen Display (OSD)
capabilities replace many of the functions of a
master control switcher ... such as bug
insertion and text crawl. The system
supports GPI in, GPI out, router/switcher
control, and optional VCR control.
Schedules may also be imported from commercial
traffic systems.
Our
small station/LPTV
turnkey system - which includes a
playout server,
routing switcher and DTMF tone detector - starts
at just $9,988.
Our
DTV/MultiCast system
is the most powerful, cost-effective solution
available ... with four SD channels in one chassis with
about 2.7 TB of RAID 5
storage - for around $26K!

MultiZone
Integrated Media Server
MultiZone
is the ideal PEG solution, providing both
video server AND
bulletin board functionality in one
cost-effective solution. Layout design and content management are done
with PowerPoint, so the 'learning curve' is very
shallow. It integrates MPEG playback, LIVE video,
PowerPoint presentations, and graphics - with
looping and scheduled event playback. You
can create as many zones as you wish using our
ZoneBuilder PowerPoint template ... as well as
multiple layouts that let you customize the
"look and feel" of your channel presentation.
Daily
management of this solution is as simple as
dragging files into the ON-AIR folder for each
zone. MultiZone includes a digital Audio
Jukebox for playing MP3 and/or
WAV files
when graphics are displayed ... as well as
remote management using pcAnywhere. This turnkey
hardware/software solution starts at just $5,990.

EasyPlay
is simple but powerful Playlist Management
software that is ideal for 'looping' playback
schedules. You simply drag-and-drop files
into the list and start the playback. You
can also play the contents of specified folders.
You can also synchronize up to eight (8)
channels of MPEG-2 playback for applications
involving multi-screen displays. |

EPNews is designed for news
package rundown as a replacement for VCRs.
Just create a list of news packages in the order
they will play ... and trigger the workstation
via GPI from the Master Control switcher .... or
"fire" the packages manually with
Auto-Cue of the next scheduled package.

SERVERS and ENCODERS
Our
MiniPEG media server is an economical desktop workstation that generally
hosts the MultiZone
software. It's also a cost-effective
platform for our
LPTV automation systems,
MPEG encoder
configurations,
and our ToastMaster
workstations.
Measuring 12.5" x 10.5" x 8",
it's great for PEG channels, classroom, and
digital signage environments.
If
a Rack Mount chassis better fits your needs, we
package our software solutions in 2U, 3U and 4U
chassis. The server configuration is
generally determined by the amount of storage
you specify, as well as the level of failover
protection for both hard drives and power
supplies. We support up to eight (8)
MPEG/Graphics decoder cards in a single chassis.
Multiple chassis systems also supported.

PEG CHANNEL
WORKFLOW DESIGN
AND SYSTEM INTEGRATION When
you're ready to "GO
DIGITAL", we provide turn-key system
design and installation for city cable channel
operations. We integrate field recording
packages, tapeless (digital) meeting
acquisition, Non-Linear Editing workstations,
and play-to-air servers with Internet streaming
to city Web sites. We can also complement
your existing hardware with one or more of our
workflow solutions.
We
address the following areas in the PEG workflow
topology:
•
Field Content Acquisition: camcorder,
tripod/head, mikes (handheld, lavalier, wireless),
lighting kits
•
Meeting Room &
Remote Meetings: mikes, mixers, sound
reinforcement, lighting, computer-controlled
Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras, video switching,
character generator with agenda import,
real-time MPEG-2 (tapeless) meeting acquisition,
VDESK workstation
•
Content
Editing - NLE (nonlinear editing) workstations:
Adobe
Premiere Pro CS, Matrox RT.X100 real-time
graphics engine, 300 GB RAID 1, real-time MPEG-2
encoder, VO mike, audio mixer, speakers
•
Content
Playout: MultiZone
video/graphics server that outputs to the cable
channel through your modulator; networked to NLE,
meeting acquisition workstation and content
creation computer
•
Network
Attached Storage
(NAS):
a digital 'file cabinet' for storing and
archiving all file types used in the
production/post-production/on-air workflow.
This device replaces the analog "tape
room" in an all-digital topology. The
server includes DVD-RW, EasyPlay List Management, and
an MPEG/Graphics decoder card for playout to
tapes, DVD recorders, etc. You can also
play files directly to "air" from this server,
using either the MasterPlay
Automation Server or MultiZone Media
Server as the playback engine.
