PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) Camera Control |
REMO (and VDESK) communicate with PTZ cameras using the three most common types of serial protocol – RS232, RS422 and RS485. Current camera interfaces include Sony, Panasonic and Canon. Presets can be linked with "lower third" titles for instant access to these overlays during meetings and events. To link a file just drag and drop from the File Browser onto a named preset. |
File Browser and Playlist |
You can browse your media files using either the icon view or text view. There are convenient default folders for CGs, PICs and CLIPs. You can also search the currently viewed media by entering text. You can create as many Playlists as you wish, dragging and dropping content from the File Browser. You can drag and drop to reorder the files in the list, and play single files, groups of files … even repeat one or more files selected in the list. |

DSK (Down Stream Keyer) and Switcher |
VDESK (and REMO) include a powerful Down Stream Keyer for displaying lower-third and full screen graphics. The native graphic format is PNG, although JPG and BMP are fully supported. When you select a graphic in either the File Browser or a Playlist, it immediately appears in the PREVIEW window of the DSK. Cut the graphic onto the PROGRAM output by clicking TAKE TO AIR, or fade it on with the AUTO TO AIR button. The switcher panel displays a conventional interface with "buss swapping" when TAKE or AUTO is pressed. Transitions and effects are selected using the drop-down menus on the right. |

There are 6 composite video inputs, 2 x VGA inputs, 4 x power/serial CAT5 connectors for the PTZ cameras, 3 USB connectors, a Gig-E network connector, 2 x XLR audio outputs, and video outputs as composite, S-Video, component and SDI.
